Default Expertise break points?

I was told by a guildy that after a certain point you dont have to put points in expertise. Is this true? or is it like after nine it stops.

That's essentially true. It depends on the cost of the skills and such, but the two biggest cutoffs are considered to be 9 and 13. Check out the full table here, though: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...sts-id1154.php

yea, its all according to the cost of your skill. Rounding makes it where not every level is going to decrease cost of every skill.

So if the highest bow attack cost you run is 10 (common one), then 9 is a good breakpoint, because having 10 or 11 in it is useless, and 12 is a bit much. and you wouldnt want more than 14 expertise at all in this build because anything over 14 is useless too.

The breakpoints are nice and all, but if you need a skill in Expertice and you've got some points left over, throw them in there anyway. You never know if that extra second or that extra 2 damage is gonna save your hide.

9 and 13 are the only two numbers you want/need in Expertise.

We're not talking about if your bringing Whirling Defences though. And even if you are, you should be aiming to hit the breakpoints not just cramming in spare attribute points just to boost the skill. 12 Expertise is all you need for 5 cost on 10e-skills and decent skills associated with it.

I think 13 expertise downshifts the cost of 5 energy skills and 14 expertise downshifts the cost of 10 energy skills
